Job Summary
An opportunity exists in the UK within the delivery team to implement and support the ICNet software either directly for the UK clients, or through overseas distributors.
The role will require a biological sciences background, such as microbiology or biochemistry and preferably good general IT skills (e.g. SQL, mixed with some Microbiology Experience. Excel and Access). Experience of working with SQL/database experience is essential. Basic Network knowledge and DOS command / Batch file is desirable. Working with Microbiology Laboratory Information Management Systems or with other healthcare software is a distinct advantage.
Job description
The successful candidate will assist with the development and maintenance of interfaces with Microbiology LIMS at multiple sites. You will be using your strong database skills and scientific knowledge in microbiology to develop, troubleshoot, fix issues that encountered within the systems. You will also communicate with Biomedical Scientists, Microbiologists and IS staff. Strong communication skills are required.

- Considerable Excel experience.
- Experience with Microbiology LIMS systems or knowledge of microbiology required.
- SQL CRUD skills experience.

- Ability to explain and articulate complex technical issues.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle is advantageous as is customer support experience.
